Diabetes+Faith=Death

While I am forced to watch the news over and over during an eight hour shift at the station. I do get some insight into our really messed up country.

An 11 year old girl just died of a treatable form of diabetes, she had been sick for over a week and not taken to get any medical attention.

Her parents did not believe that she needed medicine they did not even know she was diabetic. And so she died.

When the parents were asked about her death they spat off some b.s. about "apperently we didn't have enough faith."

I believe the parents how shown pure negligence and should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

More here-----> Stupid parents kill girl with prayer.

Okay that's not really the title of the article but I think it fits.

Reminds me about the guy in Angels and Demons (the president of CERN) who is handicapped and wheelchair bound because his parents refused to let doctors treat him when he was sick as a child- they just sat over him and prayed. He grew up hating God and religion.

...know it isnt a real person, but seems like a reasonable comparison.
