Sandyvagina Idol

Nothing, and I really mean nothing angers me more than this whiney child on American Idol. Sandyvagina is way past my wits end and I can no tolerate him anymore. Now this may just be a jump on the band wagon idea...it seems though that if I were in this so called wagon with the band members I would be supporting him and voting for him. This is not the case. Instead I cringe when he moves on and I cry for man kind every time I see him in the news.

Creating Tradition

As most of you know this May I will be assuming the role of Camp Director in Oxford Michigan for Camp Adventure. This program really is not yet in exsistence, that being said I am asking for your help. I occured to me the other day that everyone in this constantly growing blog community is in some way related to camping, and I value all of your knowledge on the topic.

This summer I have to put on a camp for approx. 20 kids a week and roughly 5 staff. Programing will happen but I want to make it memorable, I want to leave a lasting impression on these kids.

Last summer I believe it was Matt asked the mission team to define tradition and to attempt to create our own. That's what I want to ask you to help me do, Creat Tradition. Keep in mind that this is a blank slate, we have cabins, a lake, high and low ropes...all of the standards. But no tradition. There is no joke, or webby man, or guy lime. There is no birdie song in the morning, there is nothing....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

When you were little which spoon did you use?

I always used the little spoon.

The little spoons were put on the table in front of where the kids were suppose to sit and the big spoons were set for the adults.

So I would sit there with my little spoon and eat my bowl of soup, the same size bowl of soup that the big spooners had recieved.

When does one move up to the big spoon?

Because I still use the little spoons.

Just Forget

My last 48 hours have been very interesting too me. I spent a good majority of them sleeping or working but none the less they were interesting. In those hours I spent 16 of them at the gas station working with Kessel. The first day of this I was not enjoying myself and really could not pin why. I figured it out the next day after my unemployment hearing...that situation was making me very frustrated and easily irratable for the last two days.

When I left the courtroom I had a sense of calm, a sense of accomplishment. Part of me went there to prove a point and to make a certain some one look like an idiot and well that was accomplished the other part of me had another reason. To just forget.

I just want to forget now. I do not want to forget the people that I spent my time with at the camp I will never forget that. I do not want to forget the accomplishments of the youth, or for that matter the staff. I certainly do not want to forget all that I learned about myself. I just want to forget why I left...and let it go. If I continue to get myself all worked up over this I will push away the people who are closest to me and that is not what I want. I am grateful for the time I spent there but it's time to move on.

A huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I'm ready to fly again.
